I am a social psychology Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University working with Dr. Greg Walton. Before coming to Stanford, I completed the Masters in Psychological Research program at California State University, Long Beach working with Dr. Dustin Thoman.
My research focuses on how individuals interpret and derive meaning from positive and negative cues in the environment. In particular, I am interested in how subtle interpersonal interactions can ignite change within institutions to increase belonging, interest, and motivation for underrepresented groups in STEM. I am also passionate about translating lab-based science to real-world settings using psychologically wise interventions through the College Transitions Collaborative.
